We collect as little as we need to answer you and coach you well, we never sell it, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete it at any time. The details follow, in plain language.
Who is responsible
DeGrand Wellness & Performance (“DeGrand”, “we”) is a coaching business based in Greater Montréal, Québec.
Our Person in charge of the protection of personal information is the founder of DeGrand. You can reach them at info@degrandwellnessperformance.com or 514-649-1706 for any question, request or complaint about your personal information.
What we collect, and why
Booking and contact forms: your name, email address, optional phone number, which service interests you, preferred format and times, and anything you choose to write in the message. We use it only to answer your request and, if you become a client, to coach you.
Youth program: for a young athlete, the form is completed by a parent or legal guardian. We collect the athlete's first name, age, sport and the number of children from the family joining, only to place them in a suitable group and discuss pricing. We do not collect personal information directly from children under 14.
Health information: goals, injuries or health details you choose to share are sensitive. We ask for your express consent before you send them, use them only to coach you safely, and never use them for any other purpose.
Website visits: our host automatically records technical data such as your IP address and browser type in server logs, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics profiling or social-media pixels.
Cookies
The public site sets no cookies. The only cookie we use is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for our coaches' private publishing area; visitors never receive it.
Consent
You give consent by ticking the consent box before sending a form. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to us; we will then stop using your information and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Who has access
Only our two coaches can read your requests. We never sell, rent or trade personal information.
We rely on a few service providers to run the site and our email: Vercel (website hosting, United States), Web3Forms (delivery of form submissions to our inbox) and Proton Mail (email, Switzerland). Your information may therefore be stored or processed outside Québec. Before relying on each provider, we assessed whether it protects personal information adequately, and each receives only what it needs to provide its service.
How long we keep it
Requests that do not lead to coaching are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as we coach you and for up to 3 years afterward, then securely destroyed.
How we protect it
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our email provider stores messages encrypted, access to our publishing area is password-protected, and only the people who need information to coach you can see it. If a confidentiality incident ever creates a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, receive a copy in a commonly used format, withdraw your consent or have it deleted. Write to our Person in charge at the address above; we will answer within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its date. Significant changes will be highlighted here.
